Group Tutoring
Group tutoring will happen this Spring 2026 beginning February 2nd!

What is Group Tutoring?
Group Tutoring is a 1- hour tutoring session that meets weekly when classes are in session. It is led by a Master Tutor in this course who will go over a few concepts taught in the course that week and take questions of those present who want the tutor to explain things a bit more. When you are enrolled in a course which offers group tutoring, you will automatically be invited to participate.
Which courses have a group tutoring session and when are they?
Each semester, we provide a short list of courses with high-volume requests. For this semester, the following Group Tutoring sessions are offered weekly and scheduled on the following days and times:

During the Fall and Spring semesters for each course listed above in which you are currently enrolled, you will get text reminders in Navigate on the day of your session reminding you to come. You do not need to make an appointment, just show up to the assigned room on that day and time.
What is Navigate?
Navigate is the software platform in which so many things at Baylor take place, including all scheduling of tutoring sessions. To use this platform, you will need to sign in with your Bear ID and password. The free Navigate Student App is by far the easiest way to keep track of your classes and several university reminders. You can download it by going to your App Store and downloading the version you prefer (Apple IOS or Android). When using the app, reminders about all tutoring, including Group Tutoring, will be on your “To Do List” in the app. As I mentioned above, you will in fact still get weekly text messages on the day of the sessions.
What if the Group Tutoring time does not work with your schedule:
You can always schedule a free private 30-minute session with a qualified tutor in that course. Details about how to do that are on the Tutoring website. If you are unable to find a listing for a course you need, please email Tutoringinfo@baylor.edu and our front desk will see what arrangements can be made for you and respond within one business day. Unfortunately, if you are not interested in attending GT at all, then there is not a way to remove you from the email and text communication (unless you drop the class and are no longer registered for it). As long as you are enrolled in the course, then you will get those messages. You can opt out of all university text messaging, but we DO NOT recommend you do that as that will also prevent you from getting messages you do want to receive like messages from your advisor about registration or from your professors about course requirements.
