Academic Mentoring
Struggling in your classes? Feeling overwhelmed? Never had to study in high school?
Academic Mentors work with students during private, one-on-one weekly appointments to provide strategic support and guidance throughout the semester. Academic Mentors are trained to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their mentees and understand how best to support their academic goals, providing accountability and partnership as the semester progresses. During the meetings, Academic Mentors provide students with resources, share their knowledge on how to be successful in school, and offer suggestions on how to improve the student’s overall college experience. Mentors are there to help with study- and executive-functioning skills like time management, test preparation, study techniques, and more.
